passengers in history

For art collection, we are just passengers in history. Our lives are too short, and only our creation can be left to the world as a legend.

对于艺术品而言,我们只是岁月的过客,我们的一生太过短暂,而唯有我们的创造才能成为留世的传奇。

Bring me to the field

Bring me to the field2

When qualifying competition ended up with 12 contestants registering the Master of Translation and Interpreting(MTI) ,it's time for me, as being one of this small group, the dust settles but I do not dust myself off. In place of gloat, a non-descript qualm assailed me whether studying in the Department of Interpretation, SISU Graduate Institute of Interpretation and Translation in next 2 years would be the surest route to be an qualified interpreter.

Put the dreams on hold. The grim job prospects sparked fears of future meanwhile I wavered in ability to succeed. The consequence of such decision would be incalculable, not as clear as the costly tuition.

What began as a shakable faith in future quickly spread to a pervasive scent of snit. So I sent out feelers to see how people whose advice I do pay respect to would look upon such a movement. Euphemisms, such as "prudent to save some of the money during economic contraction, or reservations about your choice”, were in the majority. All consultation reached a deadlock.

Perhaps no compromise between hefty cost and strong aspiration, no ready answer for sure that MTI is tantamount to alchemy of success. If anything, the toll would be far worse if I had not taken bold action and fought to the last ditch in defense of my ambition.

Never falter and never fail.

Like a new friend said, "problems are daunting, they are not insurmountable". She really lifted my spirits as the only one back me up. Thanks a lot, Xiao xi.

Now toss me into the wild and usher in a future bright!

Funny Things On December 8th

By Always_Can [www.remarks.cn]

宝钢三十年2

A week ago, the Public Relations Division of Baosteel called up a squad of volunteers for the 30th anniversary party in honor of the founding of Baosteel. Spontaneously, the platoon of volunteers who experienced their baptism of fire all through the Third BAC came to be a lineup for this anniversary held in JinMao Building on December 8th. It’s nothing new that I was the sergeant.

Of course, a lounge suit was not rare for formal celebration, yet a shock to me when putting on trousers. Dear me! The trousers with a 30-inch waist were too tight for me and no way to buckle it up. Not a vestige of the abdomen remains above my waist, nor the smile on my face. Grave and sad that‘s exactly word on the grimaces in the pier glass. Eating overmuch had an unsuspected change on my size so that it seemed the pantsuit surely hadn't been made for me. Now a knitted sweater to cover up the loosed belt was the bailout.

The next setback quickly was showing up. As for a mature man, it's shame to confess him totally ignorant of wearing tie, which undoubtedly questioned the ability to be independent. And now the like befell me. Nervously, I waited for the worst to happen. Shaking of heads and wrinkling of brows, the team players would have dug at me. However, the truth is a male volunteer gave me a hand. Instead of face to face, he folded me in his arms at my back in order to see my face in mirror and wear tie for me as if he were wearing for himself. During the time, his sudden serious sweetness put me into a trance that I was in movie Brokeback Mountain. Inch by embarrassing inch, there was clearly nothing to do but wish the process would finish as soon as possible.

With years' focus, I have delved into the sublime cause in photography, exploring what is interesting, dull, dangerous, exciting and unsettling about content in picture. Hardly any chance could I change my dream that facing camera instead of standing behind it. Don’t make any mistake about me. From day one girl's showy figure and shinning exposure has always been eye catcher in pictures. Only if man has photos with girls he would benefit from those photos to get a little attention when others browse the album. That's why every time when getting snapped I have to stand by girls closely as much as I could. So I wouldn't miss any chance to have a photo taken with girls I could not take my eyes off in volunteer team. No wonder I was called "groom" in jest. Tee-hee!

Although the mission was complete successfully and volunteers got commended for their good service, the diminishing embers of their passion still transported me to elation.
